The founder of Ndema was born in Senegal, a vibrant country full of ancient traditions, where the art of hand-weaving baskets is passed down from generation to generation among women. From a young age, she grew up surrounded by these industrious hands that, with patience and skill, transformed natural fibers into unique, practical, and beautiful pieces. That silent wisdom, woven with love, was etched in her heart.

Driven by her thirst for knowledge, she earned a degree in Hispanic Philology in her native country, and later traveled to Spain to continue her studies. There she expanded her education with degrees in Translation and Business Administration, among others, combining her love for languages with a practical vision of the professional world.

For more than two decades, she worked as a translator, interpreter, and administrator in diplomatic and consular environments, helping to build bridges between people, cultures, and languages. But inside, a desire grew to reconnect with her roots and to show the world the art and soul of African women, especially those from her beloved native Senegal.
